FINANCE

The finance department of Corporate Express is based at our head office in Birmingham. Employing about 30 people it is an autonomous accounting function and covers all the key roles of a major UK company while working for and within the demands of a global business which is quoted on the Amsterdam and New York Stock Exchange.

Financial Control

Financial control employs 10 people and takes an active interest in developing the skills of its staff to achieve AAT, ACCA and CIMA. The team's responsibilities include most corporate aspects such as accounting, statutory, tax, treasury, internal controls and payroll.

Credit Control

The credit control department consists of 13 people and is responsible for a ledger of £14 million with over 7000 accounts. It is fully computerised and works closely with both internal and external customers.

Purchase Ledger

The purchase ledger department employs 7 people and is responsible for all purchases within the company and the payments of over 400 suppliers with outgoings in excess of £10 million each month.
