Executive Chef – Boutique Hotel Restaurant - Central London

We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to lead the kitchen at a fabulous, Italian-owned boutique hotel in Central London. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented and commercially minded chef to take ownership of a well-established restaurant operation and shape its culinary direction.

The hotel is known for its warm hospitality, loyal clientele, and high-quality food offering. The successful candidate will bring creativity, strong leadership, and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences.

The Role

As Executive Chef, you will oversee the entire kitchen operation, ensuring outstanding food quality, smooth service, and strong financial performance. You will lead and develop the kitchen brigade while working closely with senior management to maintain and elevate the restaurant’s reputation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all kitchen operations across the restaurant and hotel food offering
  • Develop and implement seasonal menus focused on fresh, high-quality ingredients
  • Recruit, train, and mentor the kitchen brigade to maintain high standards
  • Manage food costs, GP targets, stock control, and supplier relationships
  • Maintain strict compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards
  • Ensure efficient service during busy periods while maintaining consistency and quality
  • Collaborate with management on events, private dining, and special menus

The Ideal Candidate

  • Proven experience as an Executive Chef or Senior Head Chef in a quality restaurant or boutique hotel
  • Experience working at a 2/3 AA Rosette level would be preferred
  • Strong background in European or Italian cuisine
  • Excellent leadership and team development skills
  • Strong commercial awareness with experience managing kitchen budgets and GP
  • Highly organised, calm under pressure, and passionate about quality food
  • A hands-on leader who leads by example in the kitchen
