Avisford Park Hotel is located within 60 acres of grounds with 140 bedrooms, 15 meeting rooms and a fully equipped gym and leisure club and golf course for guests to enjoy, something for everyone.
The Role of Maintenance Assistant
We have an opportunity for a Maintenance Assistant to join the to keep the hotel looking its best as we continue our journey as custodians of a historic building but in 1760.
The Maintenance Assistant will work under the direction of the Maintenance Manager and will be responsible for working in partnership with the wider team to ensure that our hotel is in a great condition and supports making a memorable experience for our guests.
A key aspect of the role is to support the Maintenance Manager and wider management team to ensure that the hotel is fully compliment with all legislation and is safe and secure for all our guests and team. The successful candidate will forge a great rapport with colleagues of all levels and guests that they interact with
The role of Maintenance Assistant will report to the Maintenance Manager, this is an opportunity for a motivated individual who is passionate about making a difference and delivering a great service in terms of maintenance but also great customer service.
This role is ideal for someone who has strong maintenance experience skills with great communication and time management who is able to work under their own initiative.
Job Overview:
As a Maintenance Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the hotel operates smoothly by maintaining a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for guests and staff. You will assist with routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections across the hotel, responding promptly to any issues that arise. This role is perfect for a hands-on individual with practical skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Experience & Qualifications
- Previous experience in a maintenance, handyman, or facilities role, preferably in hospitality or a similar environment.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, and painting.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a hands-on, proactive approach.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Awareness of health and safety regulations.
