The Role of Housekeeping Manager
The Housekeeping Manager will be responsible for being both pro-active and reactive in ensuring that all public areas and guest bedrooms are clean and welcoming at all times. The Housekeeping Manager will be responsible for leading the Housekeeping team to ensure that all standards are maintained, colleagues are trained and working safely at all times. Fantastic organisation, communication, problem solving and being adaptable are attributes required in the role.
An eye for detail and for delivering memorable guest experiences for our guests make this a lovely role for someone who wants to make an impact on our guests.
The Housekeeping Manager will use Rez Control to monitor room sales and requests to allocate job lists, keep accurate and up to date records of training and all statutory jobs as required. The role is a hands-on role for someone who can lead a team to strive for excellence in every sense from clean rooms and public areas to stock control and meeting budgets.
The role of Housekeeping Manager will report to the General Manager and is ideal for someone who has strong demonstratable experience in housekeeping. It is a perfect opportunity for someone who would like to take the next step in their career.
Job Overview:
As Housekeeping Manager, you will lead the housekeeping team to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation across all guest rooms and public areas. You will oversee daily operations, manage colleagues and cost, maintain inventory, and uphold brand standards to deliver an exceptional guest experience. This role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and a passion for maintaining a welcoming and comfortable environment for guests.
Experience & Qualifications
- Previous experience in a housekeeping management or supervisory role within a hotel or similar environment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures, hygiene standards, and housekeeping best practices.
- Ability to manage budgets and control inventory efficiently.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
