Are you an experienced Utility Surveyor looking for a challenging yet rewarding opportunity? We're expanding our Energy team and seeking three skilled professionals to play a key role. If you are passionate about overcoming technical challenges and thrive in a collaborative environment, we want to hear from you!

The Role
As a Utility Surveyor, you will be instrumental in shaping the success of our projects. Your responsibilities will include receiving client briefs, formulating scopes of work, and developing design philosophies. From undertaking utility surveys to producing CAD drawings and reports, you will be a vital part of our pre-construction/design team.


Here are some of the activities you will be involved with…
• Undertaking utility surveys from start to finish.
• Manhole lifting, recording observations, and measurements.
• Locating utilities through electromagnetic locators and ground-penetrating radar.
• Total station and GPS/GNSS observations.
• Producing Utility Survey drawings and reports.
• Managing and maintaining survey equipment.
• Production of CAD drawings from survey data.
• Post-processing of GPR data.
• Assisting in the overall development of the survey department.
• Knowledge of PAS128 and concepts related to the safe design and operation of on-site activities.

We would love to hear from you, if you can demonstrate…

  • You are technically minded with a minimum of 2 years' experience in the utility mapping industry. 
  • The ideal candidate should have a proactive attitude, a willingness to embrace new techniques, and familiarity with the latest digital mapping technology. along with demonstrable expertise with EML, GPR, GPS, digital Total Stations, and CAD packages.
  • It would be advantageous to possess NVQ3 in utility mapping or higher and have confidence in using GPR data post-processing software.
