We have an exciting opportunity for an Operational Planner to join our Integrated Maintenance and Repair (IMR) team working on the Anglian Water Alliance. This is a pivotal role supporting both planned and reactive works, helping to ensure services are delivered safely, efficiently, and with the customer at the heart of everything we do. Whether you already have planning experience or are looking to develop a career in planning, this role offers variety, responsibility, and the opportunity to grow, with full training provided. The Role You will play a key part in coordinating resources, managing in-day schedules, and supporting operational teams to meet service, quality, and risk management targets. Acting as a central point of contact, you’ll balance customer needs, operational priorities, and regulatory requirements to ensure work is delivered right first time. We would love to hear from you if… You enjoy problem-solving, staying organised, and working in a fast-paced, reactive environment. Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach are essential, along with the ability to prioritise effectively and make sound decisions. You’ll be comfortable using IT systems and planning tools, with good keyboard skills and confidence working across Microsoft Office applications. Experience in planning, scheduling, customer service, or operational roles would be beneficial, though not essential, as full training will be provided. An awareness of water or wastewater networks, Streetworks legislation, or the Traffic Management Act would be advantageous, but above all, we’re looking for motivated, adaptable individuals with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
