We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Engineer specialising in Extra High Voltage (EHV) systems, with a focus on Electrical, Instrumentation, Control, and Automation (EICA) designs. The successful candidate will demonstrate expertise in delivering successful projects, from detailed designs to construction and commissioning.

The Role:
The Principal Engineer will play a pivotal role in our team, bringing in-depth knowledge of EHV systems, strong project management skills, and a proven track record of achieving significant cost savings while ensuring reliability, safety, and compliance.


Here are some of the activities you will be involved in…
• Developing technical specifications, single-line diagrams, block cable diagrams, EHV cable calculations, and other design documentation.
• Supporting civil engineers, meeting with clients and subcontractors to discuss technical matters.
• Reviewing subcontractor tender offers, preparing technical bid analysis, and overseeing detailed design submittals.
• Ensuring projects adhere to industry standards, safety regulations, and client requirements.

We would love to hear from you if you can demonstrate the following…

  • In-depth knowledge of EHV systems and associated technologies with strong leadership, project management skills, along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstratable experience in a similar role and the ability to identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising safety or reliability.
  • A track record of successful project delivery from concept to commissioning.
  • A degree in Electrical engineering and full UK driving licence.
  • Ideally MSc or MEng Chartered.
