Hotbox Driver

We have an opportunity for a Hotbox Driver (HGV) to join our team, to support reinstatement works, ensuring hot asphalt is delivered safely, at the correct temperature, and in line with specification.

While titled Hotbox Driver, this is very much a hands-on role, combining driving with the operation of specialist equipment and close support of site teams working in live environments.

Here are some of the activities you will be involved in…

• Driving and operating a hotbox vehicle to support reinstatement works
• Transporting hot asphalt and materials safely and efficiently to site
• Maintaining material temperature and quality in line with specification
• Supporting reinstatement crews with loading, unloading and material preparation
• Carrying out daily vehicle and equipment checks, reporting defects promptly
• Working safely in live highways and public areas, maintaining a professional approach
• Ensuring compliance with highway authority and health & safety requirements
• Completing delivery records, paperwork and digital reporting

We would love to hear from you if you can demonstrate …

A Class 2 HGV licence (Class 1 advantageous), Driver CPC, CSCS card and NRSWA (Streetworks).

Prevoius reinstatement experience and have ideally operated a hotbox vehicle.

A high regard for the importance of quality and safe working practices.

Comfortable operating specialist equipment, working closely with site teams, and representing the business professionally on customer-facing sites.
