That’s why we need people like you to help us

Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Senior Estimator to join our team and support the preparation of accurate, competitive and commercially robust estimates across a range of water utility infrastructure projects.

This is a key role within our estimating function, working closely with Operational, Commercial, Procurement, Planning and Bid Teams to develop high-quality tender submissions for clean water and wastewater schemes.

  • Supporting tender adjudications, responding to client clarifications and ensuring a smooth handover to delivery teams.
  • Providing technical guidance and mentoring to junior estimators and estimating assistants where appropriate.

We would love to hear from you if…

You have 5–10 years’ estimating experience within the water utilities, utility infrastructure sector, with a strong track record of pricing clean water and wastewater projects for utility clients.

You will have experience producing first-principle estimates for self-delivered works and be confident pricing activities such as water mains, pipelines, drainage, service connections, utility installations and associated civil engineering works.

You will also have a good understanding of methods of measurement, construction methodologies and NEC contracts, with the commercial awareness to identify project risks and develop accurate, competitive tender submissions. Experience working as part of a collaborative bid team is important, along with the ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications and client requirements.

We are looking for someone with strong Excel skills and experience using estimating software such as Conquest, Causeway, Candy or similar. Experience using take-off software, AutoCAD or project planning tools would be advantageous.

Most importantly, you will be an experienced Senior Estimator who enjoys working collaboratively, mentoring others where appropriate and taking ownership of complex tenders from enquiry through to successful handover.
