This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact on our environmental and sustainability performance — driving continual improvement, innovation, and sustainable growth across all our projects. You’ll be part of our dedicated Environment & Sustainability (E&S) team, working collaboratively with colleagues across the Group to help shape and deliver our environmental strategy, ensuring we meet and exceed the standards our clients and communities expect. Here are some of the activities you will be involved in…
We would love to hear from you if you can demonstrate… You’re passionate about the environment and sustainability and bring both the knowledge and enthusiasm to make a genuine difference. You’ll have a strong background in environmental management, with around three to five years’ experience in a similar role where you’ve been hands-on in implementing and maintaining environmental management systems. Ideally, you’ll hold a degree in an environmental discipline or have equivalent professional experience, supported by Lead Auditor training. You’ll have a solid understanding of environmental legislation and compliance requirements, as well as the ability to interpret data, prepare reports, and provide clear, practical advice on environmental risks and performance. Strong communication and relationship-building skills are essential, as this role involves working closely with colleagues at all levels, clients, and other key stakeholders to promote best practice and drive positive environmental outcomes. You’ll be proactive, solutions-focused, and motivated by the opportunity to make an impact. Flexibility is key, as the role involves travel across the UK to support projects and teams. A full and valid UK driving licence is essential. Experience within the construction or utilities sector, a master’s degree in a relevant field, or professional membership with a recognised environmental body such as IEMA would all be advantageous.
