This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong electrical and technical background who enjoys fault finding, problem solving and working with a wide range of specialist equipment. You'll help ensure our operational teams have safe, compliant and reliable equipment available whenever they need it. Working from our workshop, you'll be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, calibrating, repairing and certifying a variety of safety, detection and utility equipment, providing technical expertise and supporting the safe delivery of our projects. We would love to hear from you if... You have proven experience working with electrical systems, circuitry and electronic components, together with excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills. Additionally, confident carrying out repairs on specialist technical equipment and be experienced in soldering and replacing electronic components where required. You'll have a good understanding of electrical testing and inspection processes and experience maintaining electrical equipment, ideally within a workshop, engineering, utilities or plant environment. Able to interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams and schematics and take a methodical approach to diagnosing faults and delivering high-quality repairs. Experience servicing specialist utility and safety equipment, including CAT & Genny equipment, gas detection monitors, safety harnesses, fall arrest systems, davit systems or electric butt fusion welding equipment, would be highly advantageous. You are organised, detail-focused and committed to maintaining accurate records, ensuring all equipment remains compliant, safe and ready for operational use. Along with being comfortable working independently whilst also collaborating with colleagues to support operational teams across the business. Good IT skills, including experience using Microsoft Office and digital record-keeping systems, are essential. A PAT Testing qualification, electrical qualification such as City & Guilds, NVQ, HNC/HND or equivalent, together with knowledge of LOLER inspection requirements, would be advantageous A full UK Driving Licence is also essential.
