Objective
- To be responsible for implementing and maintaining all standards, policies and procedures relating to Afternoon Tea service, as laid out by the Food and Beverage Operations Manager. A focus on finding ways to continue to elevate our guest’s experience, guest engagement and satisfaction is key. High level presence in the operation is expected, engaging with both the team and our guest’s is a priority.
What you will bring
- As the Afternoon Tea Restaurant primarily operates from Wednesday to Sunday, you must be available to work on these days. (During school holidays and half-term, additional flexibility may be required.)
- In your role heading the Afternoon Tea Restaurant you will manage all aspects of the Afternoon Tea Operaiton and, together with your team, strive to create memorable experiences for our guests
- Previous experience from 5 star hotel is beneficial
Your responsibilities
- Efficiently manage the smooth running of the Afternoon Tea Restaurant operation and all team members
- Facilitate all aspects relating to the day to day running of the Afternoon Tea Restaurant.
- Create a warm and engaging environment for our guests, recognizing repeat and SRG guests, updating guest profiles in Open Table with relevant information to include guest preferences.
- Work closely with the Central Reservations team to ensure that reservations are maximised and all standards outlined in the ‘How To Do It’s’ are met.
- To conduct daily briefings (de-briefings where necessary) with the Afternoon Tea Restaurant team, ensuring all relevant information is passed along and teams are prepared for service, to include SRG’s, guest preferences and any special requirements, also include information regarding what is happening in the hotel.
- To collaborate with the Executive Chef and Sous Chefs, hold tastings of any new dishes and current menu items to refresh knowledge of the FOH team.
- Interact effectively and work closely with the Executive Chef and Sous Chefs to ensure that service standards are consistently exceeded, and good working relationships maintained
- Partner with Human Resources to attract, recruit, train and appraise employees in the Afternoon Tea Restaurant.
- To adhere to and manage annual restaurant budget in order to achieve agreed performance targets.
- To effectively plan for the Afternoon Tea Restaurant including operating equipment, rotas, beverage stocks and staffing levels to ensure a seamless guest experience.
