Wentworth Club is one of the world’s finest private members Golf and Country Clubs, famous for its outstanding three Championship golf courses, in addition to a luxury Tennis & Health Club. The Club is surrounded and entwined within the Wentworth Estate, one of the most prestigious private estates in the London suburbs where many of the world’s premier golfers have their home.

We are recruiting for a Commis Waiter to support the seamless running of the resaurant and bar by providing a highly efficient and effective service, ensuring that standards are maintained and customer needs are met.

Full time, 40 hours a week, £25500 plus service charge

Key Accountabilities:

  • Responsible for supporting the smooth operation of the restaurant and bar, assisting and ensuring that all members receive the highest level of service, care and attention.
  • Deliver food orders from the kitchen to FOH designated areas rapidly and accurately.
  • Act as a contact between Front of House and Back of House.
  • Responsible for maintaining BOH standards as well as being a professional and valued member of the team with a flexible approach to improving service.
  • Assist with table settings.
  • To ensure that all employees are treated fairly and consistently as dictated in Company policies and procedures, as well as current legislation.
  • To have a focus on service with the drive and enthusiasm to continually improve standards.
  • To be procedural and ensure that our standard operating procedures are followed at all times to ensure a consistent quality service is delivered.

Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Ideal candidates should have a stable background and positive references.
  • Ideally experienced in a similar position within a luxury 5-star environment is desirable.
  • Excellent personal presentation with a warm and welcoming personality.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written & verbal
  • A confident & dynamic public speaker, able to communicate and interact effectively with all levels of an organization.
  • Enthusiastic and positive personality with ability to build trusting relationships with others.
  • Must be able to perform a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another of a different nature without loss of efficiency or composure.
  • Ability to focus and maintain attention to performance of tasks and to work and complete assignments on time despite frequent stressful, emergency, critical or unusual interruptions.
  • Ability to express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word; Must be able to verbally convey detailed instructions to employees or guests.
  • Ability to be resourceful, creative and maintain flexibility.
  • Ability to maintain excellent relations with staff and always maintain colleague and guest confidentiality.
  • Ability to lead by example.
