The Club is surrounded and entwined within the Wentworth Estate, one of the most prestigious private estates in the London suburbs where many of the world’s premier golfers have their home.
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a passionate and experienced Senior Sous Chef to join our professional F&B team to manage the production of exceptional quality culinary offerings that celebrate creativity, sustainability and provenance.
Assist the Head Chef in effectively managing the day to day operation. Drive a Commitment to Excellence in the service provided whilst achieving optimum profitability.
Manage the production of exceptional quality food commensurate with a 5* establishment within budgeted guidelines throughout all food outlets within Wentworth Club.
Key Areas of Activity:
- Ensuring the quality levels of kitchen production and presentation is maintained at its highest level at all times.
- Training of staff
- Creates new products
- Ensuring kitchen and back areas are thoroughly clean at all times.
- Presenting oneself in a way that enhances the overall guest experience, by adding life and energy into each outlet.
- Ensuring that all mise en place is correctly prepared prior to commencing service.
- Ensuring all food requests are met within the time parameters, set by the club and always displays attributes of genuine hospitality.
- Demonstrating excellent product knowledge of all food and special functions held at the club.
- Participating in the service of any special functions or events organised by the Club.
- Coordinate functions and activities with the F&B department.
- Establish and maintain smooth personal and work relationships in the kitchen.
- Carry out regular spot checks on all expiry items.
- Ensure expiry dates are labeled on products that are required.
- Ensure that equipment is cleaned, when necessary or according to their schedules
Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience in a comparable role, ideally within a 5* environment
- A positive ‘can do’ attitude, highly organised, methodical and communicative
- Confident and passionate about quality culinary products and sustainably sourced produce
