Despatch Van Driver

Established in 1997 as the first manufacturer of sushi for the UK supermarket industry, Taiko has evolved into the most innovative manufacturer of Sushi, Food To Go, Prepared Meals and Snacking products in the UK, supplying Waitrose, Tesco and Sainsbury’s to name a few. Over the past 25 years Taiko has launched more first to market Sushi and Food to Go products than any other sushi manufacturer in the UK.

We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Despatch Driverto join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in the day-to-day operations of our warehouse, with responsibilities ranging from handling raw materials, dispatching finished product and delivering goods to site. This is a varied and hands-on role that requires strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

• Dispatch raw materials to the correct production teams or storage locations.
• Dispatch finished products to customers in line with delivery schedules.
• Complete daily picks according to order and production requirements.
• Deliver goods to site in a timely, professional manner.
• Support stock management by keeping accurate and up-to-date records.
• Carry out regular stock takes to monitor inventory levels and identify discrepancies.
• Load and unload vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised warehouse area.
• Operate warehouse systems and equipment (training provided).

Requirements

• Full, clean Irish/UK/international driving licence (essential for site deliveries).
• Previous delivery experience (desirable but not essential).
• Basic computer skills (desirable for stock and dispatch systems).
• Physically fit and capable of lifting/carrying items safely.
• Reliable, proactive, and punctual.
• Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
