Reservations Manager New Opening

Front of House - The Barbary

Contract: Permanent
Salary: Up to £48,000/annum

Studio Paskin is expanding into West London with the opening of The Barbary Notting Hill. We seek an experienced and guest-focused Reservations Manager to lead our Host team and join us for the launch of our most ambitious restaurant project to date and what will become the flagship site of The Barbary brand.

The Position
We are looking for an experienced Reservations Manager to lead our Host team and the Guest Relations programme at The Barbary Notting Hill. You will be at the forefront of our restaurant and an ambassador for The Barbary Notting Hill and for Studio Paskin. Working closely with the General Manager, you will be at the heart of ensuring an exceptional guest experience and drive the commercial success and reputation of the restaurant.

The Candidate

  • You will be an exceptional communicator and relationship builder. You’ll thrive on creating connections with our guests and developing and maintaining detailed guest notes on our reservations system.
  • A confident, vibrant and charismatic personality who thrives in the buzz of service.
  • A strong and responsible leader. You will lead by example and take responsibility for the operation of the Host team. You’ll be skilled in leading briefings and acting as a role model for your team.
  • You will be a SevenRooms expert. You’ll approach the bookings system and floorplan with an entrepreneurial mindset to ensure that we maintain the highest possible room occupancy.
  • You will be highly organised with unwavering standards and attention to detail.
  • You’ll be an excellent problem solver with the ability to maintain oversight over a busy dining room, whist remaining nimble and able to pre-empt and respond to turn times and the ever-changing needs of guests and a bustling restaurant environment.
  • Experience in the pace and demands of a new opening, and in building the reservations programme for a new opening is highly desirable.
  • An understanding of the Notting Hill, or wider West London, hospitality scene would set you up for success as our Reservations Manager.
  • At least 2 years of experience as a Reservations Manager in a similar high-end restaurant environment, and a further 2 years of Restaurant Management experience is key for success in this role.

The Restaurant
Featuring a reimagining of the iconic Barbary horseshoe kitchen counter, the 75-cover affair will also include a dining room and dedicated cocktail bar, as we bring the Barbarian experience to the Notting Hill neighbourhood. The menu finds its origins in the beloved elemental cooking of The Barbary, whilst breaking new ground to offer an elevated dining experience.

Our Benefits

  • Paid development courses – WSET, Watershed and more
  • Employee Referral Scheme – up to £2,000
  • Generous staff discount of up to 50% off across all our Studio Paskin venues
  • Cost price wine and supplier discounts
  • Enhanced parental leave package
  • Cycle-to-work scheme
  • Wagestream – put yourself in control of when you get paid
  • Partnership with Kelly’s Cause and automatic enrolment onto Hospitality Action’s Employee Assistance Programme – access to counselling, remote GP/physio services, legal advice and more.
