Senior Waiter

The Barbary Notting Hill is seeking a highly accomplished Senior Waiter to join our front of house team.

This is a role for a true hospitality professional — someone with several years’ experience running a section in a high-calibre, fast-paced restaurant environment, who understands what it takes to deliver excellent service.

Bringing the spirit of The Barbary to West London, The Barbary Notting Hill celebrates the elemental flavours and open-fire cooking of the Barbary Coast — from Southern Europe to Northern Africa — centred around our iconic horseshoe kitchen counter and vibrant dining room.

The Role:

• Confidently run a busy section with ownership and consistency
• Deliver technically excellent, intuitive and warm service
• Lead by example on the floor — composed, dynamic and generous in spirit
• Demonstrate strong menu knowledge and confidently guide guests through food and wine pairings
• Support and mentor junior team members
• Maintain the highest standards of set-up, service flow and close-down procedures
• Thrive in a high-energy, high-expectation dining room
• You will be someone who understands that great hospitality is about detail, timing, personality and care - delivered effortlessly.

What We’re Looking For:

• Several years’ experience running a section in a high-calibre restaurant
• A polished, professional approach with natural warmth
• Strong food knowledge and a genuine curiosity about North African and Southern European cuisines
• Solid wine knowledge (WSET qualification desirable but not essential)
• Confidence in upselling with integrity and understanding
• A calm, solutions-focused mindset under pressure
• A dynamic presence and a passion for creating memorable guest experiences
