We’re looking for a positive, friendly and enthusiastic individual to join our busy Food & Beverage Team on a casual basis. You’ll work across our Brasserie Restaurant & Bar and our Meeting & Events spaces, helping us create memorable experiences for every guest.

Our Food & Beverage Team is at the heart of the business. As a Food & Beverage Assistant, you’ll deliver excellent service while using your knowledge of food and drink to help guests make the most of their visit.
As this is a customer-facing role, you’ll be confident, professional and well-presented, with a naturally warm and welcoming manner.

What we’re looking for
As our Food & Beverage Assistant, you’ll ideally have:

• Previous experience serving food and drink in a customer-facing role, preferably within a quality hotel or restaurant
• A commitment to delivering excellent customer service
• Strong communication skills
• A proactive, can-do attitude
• A positive outlook and willingness to learn, contribute and grow
• A genuine passion for hospitality and service with a smile
• The flexibility to work mornings, evenings and weekends across any of the seven days of the week, according to the rota

What you’ll be doing

Your responsibilities will include:

• Creating a warm, friendly and welcoming atmosphere for our guests
• Recognising and acknowledging guests and, where appropriate, using their names during interactions
• Developing your knowledge of our food, drinks, products and services
• Using your knowledge and enthusiasm to provide excellent service and enhance each guest’s experience
• Proactively identifying opportunities to recommend and upsell products and services
• Keeping work areas and equipment clean, organised and fully functional
• Ensuring all hygiene, health and safety standards are consistently met
• Working closely with colleagues to deliver a smooth service and maintain strong team morale
• Attending training and completing e-learning modules to develop your skills and support your progression

There is no staff car parking available at the hotel. However, we offer plenty of secure bicycle storage, and the hotel has excellent access to local bus and train services.
