We are seeking a well presented Luggage Porter with good communication and excellent social skills.

As Luggage Porter you will have...

  • Applicants MUST be over 21 with a full EU driving licence with a clean driving record
  • The physical ability to lift and carry a large suitcase a distance, without aid.
  • A smart, well groomed appearance
  • A warm friendly and professional manner with good spoken English
  • Previous experience of working in a customer focused role is essential and previous experience of hotels preferred.
  • Flexibility to work a mixed rota of Early (7am - 3.30pm) and Late shifts (2.30pm - 11pm) 5 days a week over any 7 days on a rota.

What will I be doing as Luggage Porter?

  • Based in the Front Hall, duties will include welcoming guests as they arrive at the hotel.
  • Taking their luggage from taxis and cars
  • Carrying luggage up and down to guest bedrooms
  • Calling taxis for guest and helping them with their luggage when they depart
  • Accepting small deliveries & taking messages
  • Carrying & delivering parcels and boxes internally and to the Post Office
  • Parking Company and guest cars in the local car park
  • Providing local directions and advice to guests
