We are seeking a Kitchen Assistant in keeping our kitchen area clean and organised and compliant with Health & Safety regulations as well as supporting the Chefs preparing Buffet and banquesting dishes. Earliest shifts start at 6.30am and the latest finish time is 11.30pm. You must be able to commute to SL9 7PA as this is not a live in position.

Our Kitchen is at the heart of our Food & Beverage department providing the food for our guests 24 hours a day. As a Kitchen Assistant, you will clean our busy kitchen structure & equipment and help the chefs in the banquesting section to deliver the best possible standards to our guests.

As a Kitchen Assistant you will have...

  • Prior experience of working kitchen prefered but not essential as training will be given.
  • Physical fitness (as the work is hands on and will require some lifting, loading and operating of machines).
  • A strong work ethic and flexibility in the shifts you can work
  • Basic knowledge of health & safety practices & be able to follow safe working procedures
  • Attention to detail, even when working under pressure
  • Ability to follow instruction and be able to show initiative
  • Good communications skills

What will I be doing as a Kitchen Assistant?

  • Helping prep foods for our banqueting section
  • Cleaning kitchen equipment, surfaces & floors
  • Operating the dishwasher
  • Moving equipment around the kitchen and hotel for chefs
  • Taking in kitchen deliveries
  • Collecting and taking out rubbish and waste
  • Maintaining good hygiene and health & safety practices
