We have an exciting opportunity for a talented Sous Chef to join our close-knit kitchen brigade, delivering fresh, high-quality food across our restaurant, bar, and meetings & events spaces.

About You

As a Sous Chef, you will bring:

  • Solid experience in hotel kitchens, ideally at Junior Sous Chef level or above, within a similar or larger operation
  • A strong background working with fresh ingredients and delivering high-quality à la carte and buffet menus
  • Experience catering for large-scale functions and weddings
  • A thorough understanding of Health & Safety legislation and working within strict hygiene standards
  • Knowledge of food cost control, ordering, and menu pricing
  • A self-motivated approach, with the ability to inspire and lead others
  • Proven leadership skills, including team management, coaching, and development
  • Food Safety Level 3 (or equivalent)

 

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Support the Head Chef through a hands-on approach to maintain and enhance food quality and service standards
  • Contribute to the creation of innovative à la carte and banqueting menus
  • Ensure full compliance with all Health & Safety and hygiene procedures
  • Train, mentor, and develop junior team members, including conducting performance reviews
  • Motivate and lead the team to consistently deliver their best performance
