Digital Strategy Director
Digital marketing across a hotel portfolio should be clear, consistent, and commercially effective - and that’s the standard we’re looking to set at Axiom Hospitality.
We are now looking for a Digital Strategy Director to bring greater structure, stronger performance, and clearer ownership to digital across our portfolio.
This role leads the digital and e-commerce agenda across the business - setting direction, sharpening reporting, driving agency performance, and ensuring our hotels are getting more from digital at every level. Working closely with Commercial, Revenue, Marketing, and Brand teams, it sits at the centre of how digital performance is understood, challenged, and improved across the group.
Ownership of performance is central to the role, including establishing a clear and consistent reporting framework across all hotels and agencies, with full visibility of results and alignment to business priorities and owner expectations.
This role combines strategy with delivery, requiring someone comfortable getting into the detail and ensuring activity is delivering the right results.
As the organisation’s digital expert, it brings a more considered, more challenging approach to digital, raising standards and embedding it properly into commercial decision-making.

Key Responsibilities & Impact
- Define and deliver a commercially driven digital marketing strategy across the portfolio, aligned with group and hotel priorities.
- Drive demand, optimise performance, and strengthen market positioning across all properties.
- Own and manage digital marketing budgets, ensuring effective allocation and strong return on investment.
- Plan and deliver integrated campaigns across channels, ensuring consistency and impact.
- Drive performance across e-commerce, paid media, SEO and GEO, working closely with agencies and internal teams to continuously improve results.
- Enhance website performance and overall digital presence, ensuring consistency in brand, content, and user experience.
- Provide clear direction on digital content, copy, and creative.
- Own and lead agency relationships, setting expectations, challenging performance, and driving accountability for results.
- Establish and maintain a consistent reporting framework across all agencies and hotels.
- Produce clear, commercially focused reporting for senior stakeholders and hotel owners.
- Identify underperformance and take action to improve outcomes.
- Work closely with senior leadership and on-property teams to align digital activity with wider business goals.
- Develop and own digital performance reporting and improvement plans across the portfolio.
- Act as the digital marketing expert across the business, supporting teams to drive stronger performance.
Profile & Expertise
- A strong blend of strategic thinking, commercial awareness, and hands-on delivery.
- Proven experience in digital strategy, digital marketing, or e-commerce, ideally within hospitality, travel, lifestyle, or multi-site environments.
- Experience managing agency relationships and significant digital marketing budgets, with a clear focus on performance and return.
- Comfortable operating at a senior level, including working with Executive and C-Suite stakeholders.
- Experience managing multiple locations with differing commercial priorities.
- Strong understanding of digital content, copywriting, and creative development, with the ability to review, guide, and produce content where required.
- Able to balance strategic thinking with a hands-on, delivery-focused approach.
- Highly organised, detail-focused, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- A confident communicator and relationship builder, comfortable challenging thinking and driving better outcomes across the business.
