The Forest of Arden Hotel and Country Club is set in peaceful Warwickshire countryside and is well placed for access to Birmingham, Coventry, and other major centres. Birmingham Airport, the National Exhibition Centre and motorway links to the M6 and M42 are all within a few miles of the hotel.

We are looking for a proactive, commercially focused, and creative Sales and Marketing Executive to support the delivery of the hotel's commercial strategy. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, driving direct sales, supporting marketing initiatives, and helping to strengthen the hotel's brand presence. You will play a key role in developing client relationships, growing revenue, and enhancing overall visibility in the market.

Your Role

The Sales and Marketing Executive will support the delivery of both the sales and marketing strategy for the hotel.

The successful applicant will assist in implementing the hotel’s commercial plan, including sales targeting, brand development, partnerships, digital strategies, and customer engagement initiatives. Working closely with agencies and internal teams, the candidate will help drive revenue, increase visibility, and support data-led decision-making to enhance overall performance.

The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in hotel sales and marketing, demonstrating the ability to convert opportunities into tangible revenue and engage audiences through effective campaigns. The candidate will be a confident communicator, creative thinker, and skilled collaborator with the ability to work efficiently across multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities of role will include but are not limited to:

• Support sales and marketing strategies across all channels and hotel departments;
• Manage hotel CRM systems, ensuring accurate segmentation, targeting, and database management;
• Create compelling sales and marketing content in line with brand standards and hotel positioning;
• Conduct sales outreach and build relationships with corporate, MICE, and leisure clients;
• Support the planning and execution of email campaigns, promotions, and B2B communications;
• Assist in coordinating and attending trade shows, client events, and site inspections;
• Liaise with digital and creative agencies to support campaign planning and performance tracking;
• Monitor and report on key KPIs including lead generation, conversion rates, and ROI;
• Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify growth opportunities;
• Help manage social media accounts, content calendars, and digital content performance;
• Maintain accurate sales records and contribute to pipeline and forecast reporting;
• Coordinate production of printed and online collateral;
• Assist in creating and distributing regular performance and activity reports;
• Stay up to date with industry trends, travel demand insights, and hotel performance metrics.

The core skills and experience required to succeed

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a sales and/or marketing role in the hotel or hospitality sector;
• Degree in Marketing, Hospitality, Business, or a related discipline;
• Solid understanding of both B2B sales techniques and marketing principles;
• Demonstrated ability to develop sales proposals, pitch presentations, and marketing materials;
• Experience working with CRM platforms and reporting tools;
• Track record of delivering measurable results and generating business leads;
• Strong writing and copy-editing skills with a creative flair;
• Familiarity with digital marketing channels including paid media, social media, and email;
• Able to manage timelines, juggle multiple projects, and meet deadlines;
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with confidence to liaise with internal and external stakeholders;
• High level of attention to detail and ability to self-manage responsibilities;
• Willingness to attend industry events, client meetings, and hospitality functions as needed;
• Collaborative, team-oriented mindset and a drive to improve continuously.
