Job Description

Legacy is the signature restaurant at The Grand, York, offering a refined dining experience that celebrates exceptional British produce with modern culinary techniques. Located within York’s only five-star hotel, Legacy delivers elegant service, thoughtful wine pairings, and a memorable fine dining experience for both hotel guests and local diners.

We are looking for a passionate and professional Part-Time Waiter/Waitress to join the team at Legacy. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys delivering attentive service and takes pride in creating memorable guest experiences in a fine dining environment. Working alongside our experienced front-of-house and kitchen teams, you will help ensure every guest receives warm hospitality, knowledgeable service, and impeccable attention to detail.

Key Responsiblities

• Deliver attentive and professional table service in line with fine dining standards
• Greet and welcome guests, ensuring they feel comfortable and well looked after
• Confidently present menus, tasting menus, and daily specials
• Serve food and beverages with precision, timing, and attention to detail
• Maintain a clean and organised section throughout service
• Communicate effectively with the kitchen and bar teams to ensure smooth service
• Anticipate guest needs and provide personalised service where possible
• Support colleagues to maintain a positive and efficient team environment
