Originally built as a farmhouse in 1286, the Griffins Head is now the perfect example of a quintessential county pub & restaurant, set in the rural village of Chillenden, Kent.

Located in East Kent on the edge of the North Downs, the hamlet of Chillenden lies midway between historic Canterbury city centre and the bustling port of Dover. The area benefits from a high footfall of walkers and cyclists exploring the local countryside and it welcomes consistent seasonal and tourist trade.

The Griffins Head is neatly woven in to daily life in Chillenden, it has a good following of loyal locals from the surrounding villages that pop by regularly for a drink and catch up, together with regular custom from the local farmers. Steeped in heritage, the Griffins Head retains its original oak beams, inglenook fireplaces and historic charm.
