Located in the borough of Tunbridge Wells, the Peacock Inn is a 14th-century destination dining pub & restaurant with extensive outdoor space, set in the village of Goudhurst on the Weald of Kent.

Well known for its historic buildings and churches, Goudhurst is situated on a hilltop, providing stunning views of the surrounding countryside. It is home to the famous Bedgebury National Pinetum & Forest and Scotney Castle, both of which attract year-round tourists and it is just a twenty-minute drive to central Tunbridge Wells, Maidstone and Paddock Wood.

The Peacock currently trades seven days a week from 12 noon onwards, with food available from Tuesday to Sunday. It hosts locals from the surrounding villages, passing trade exploring the area and it has recently built up a strong Sunday lunch trade.

Internally the Peacock houses a central feature bar servery, a relaxed bar area with a cosy open fire place, the front restaurant dining room for approx.30 covers and the garden dining room which offers direct access to the garden area, for a further 20 covers.

The Peacock resides on a large corner plot, so externally it boasts a patio area with a pergola and seating, an outdoor bar which is perfect for events and the fairer weather and a large, grassed garden for up to approx.100 covers in total.

The tenants private accommodation is set out on the first floor of the property and includes two doubles and one single bedroom, a lounge, an office which could double up as fourth single bedroom and a bathroom, together with a small, private grassed garden.

The Peacock Inn is looking for new tenants to take over the site in May 2026 and it is available on either the traditional tenancy model or on a tenanted business partnership agreement.
