With 180 rooms and 20 residences, this contemporary and brand-new project offers a variety of spaces designed to host the iconic day-and-night lifestyle of The Standard. A greenhouse on the ground floor invites both guests and locals to explore the lobby lounge, restaurant, and terrace. Upstairs, The Rooftop features its own restaurant, bar, and garden — a space destined to become a neighborhood hotspot. Throughout the building, additional public and private areas are available to host a wide range of events.

Job Purpose
The Event Coordinator is responsible for managing all types of events, including group bookings, meetings, social functions, and trips. This role involves handling the full event cycle—from initial inquiry and proposal to contract creation, conversion, planning, and execution. The coordinator works closely with clients and internal teams to ensure every event is delivered seamlessly and meets the highest standards of service.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Proposal & Contract Support
• Assist in preparing and sending customized proposals based on client needs and event specifications, under the guidance of the Events Manager.
• Support the conversion of inquiries into confirmed bookings by following up with clients and coordinating pricing discussions within established parameters.
• Draft and send client contracts and pro formas, ensuring timely follow-up on deposits and payments as directed.
• Maintain organized records of proposals, contracts, and event documentation in the CRM system (Envision).
Event Planning & Coordination
• Support the Events Manager in planning and organizing confirmed events, including logistics, timelines, and internal communications.
• Act as a point of contact for clients for routine updates, site inspections, and general inquiries, escalating complex matters to the Events Manager.
• Coordinate with internal departments (Front Office, Housekeeping, Kitchen, Operations) to ensure all event details are communicated and executed according to plan.
Cross-Departmental Collaboration
• Collaborate with the Event Manager and relevant hotel departments to ensure smooth execution of all event logistics.
• Communicate event details and updates to teams including Front Office, Housekeeping, Kitchen, and Operations.
• Liaise with senior team members such as the Director of Sales, Director of F&B, Marketing & Culture Director, Design Manager, and Revenue & Reservations Manager to relay event requirements and assist with coordination.
• Knowledge & Guest Service
• Maintain a working knowledge of hotel services, event spaces, banquet offerings, and safety procedures to support client inquiries and internal coordination.
• Respond to guest and client inquiries professionally and efficiently, ensuring a positive experience throughout the planning and execution phases.
• Assist in promoting hotel services and amenities during client interactions to support upselling and revenue opportunities
Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Strong motivation to learn and grow within a dynamic team
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, with a willingness to improve through hands-on experience
• Good organizational skills and a proactive attitude toward managing tasks and priorities
• Eagerness to understand the Brussels Hotel & Events market and stay up to date with industry trends
• Fluency in English and Dutch required
