Opened in October 2015, Hilton London Bankside represents the next generation of design-led Hilton Hotels. Each part of the property has been carefully created to reflect the fascinating history and ambiance of the surrounding area, combining the authentic urban grittiness and polished contemporary design.

Set in the heart of Bankside, just steps from some of London's most famous landmarks such as Tate Modern, Borough Market and The Shard, Hilton London Bankside is home to 292 stunning guest rooms including 25 bespoke suites which offer breathtaking views of the city skyline. The hotel also includes one beautiful penthouse apartment which boasts its own private roof terrace, a 100m2 entertainment area and views across the London skyline. In addition, the hotel brings a new neighbourhood eatery, OXBO Bankside to the area, alongside The Distillery, a cool and casual bar.

The hotel also features Bankside's largest and most exquisite Ballroom accommodating up to 700 guests theatre style or 500 in a banquet setting. With a private entrance, a 6-metre high ceiling, dramatic chandeliers, a balcony and sweeping marble staircase leading to the Bankside Ballroom, this is a spectacular venue for any grand celebration, fashion show, awards ceremony or corporate event.

Job Description

1. Read and understand all particulars of Banquet Event Orders, including start time and beverage requirements.

2. After function, remove inventory and all beverage equipment to proper storage and clear off tables. Take out all garbage to dumpsters.

3. Retrieve and store bar glassware to proper storage.

4. Work effectively and efficiently with the banquet team.

5. Expediently communicate any challenges, guest complaints or requests to the Floor Manager or Head Porter.

6. Respond to the Head Porter, instructions, and directions.

7. Observe all safety procedures during the execution of assigned duties.

8. Maintain a positive and professional attitude towards guests, co-workers, and management

9. Arrive at scheduled start time in appropriate uniform and ready to work.

10. Uniform must be neat and pressed.

11. Fully knowledgeable in drink recipes.

12. Knowledge of laws of liquor service.

13. Keeps work station clean at all times.

14. Ability to set-up Banquet Function Bar set-ups.

15. Collect all necessary equipment, beverages, etc. to set up designated area.

16. Polish all glassware and prepare needed bar fruit.

17. Provide beverage service to guests in a professional and courteous manner consistent with established standards and levels of excellence.

18. Report to Floor Manager before ending work shift.

19. Other duties as assigned.

• Deliver an exceptional level of service through a relaxed and professional approach – checking in with guest at each course to ensure satisfaction
• Serve guest and passing on your excellent product knowledge of all food and beverage

• Work as part of the team, help-out your fellow team members where necessary
• Encourage the highest standards across all areas (customer service, hygiene, health and safety)
• Complete opening and closing duties, re-stock as required.
