Opened since May 2025, The Standard, Brussels marks the hotel brand’s third outpost in Europe.

Set in the city’s Northern Quarter, The Standard, Brussels brings the brand’s design, culture and activation-driven philosophy to Belgium.

With 180 guestrooms (plus 20 residences), the modern, new-build project features many stages for The Standard’s renowned day- and nightlife. A ground-floor greenhouse welcomes guests and locals into the lobby lounge, restaurant, and terrace. Upstairs, The Rooftop features its own restaurant, bar and garden—set to become a neighbourhood destination. Throughout the building, additional public and private event spaces are platforms for happenings.

Job Purpose

As a Sales Executive at The Standard, Brussels, you will be part of a passionate and collaborative commercial team driving the hotel’s success across group, corporate, and event segments. Reporting to the Sales Directors, you will focus on developing new business opportunities, managing client relationships, and handling contracting for groups and events.

This is a proactive, client-facing role centered on sales development, contracting, and relationship management, not on event planning or coordination. You will play a key part in positioning The Standard, Brussels as a go-to destination for business, lifestyle, and creative events, combining luxury service with The Standard’s bold and distinctive personality.

Duties and Responsibilities

Business Development & Client Relations

• Support the Sales Directors in executing the hotel’s proactive sales strategy across MICE, Corporate, Leisure, Consortia, and Entertainment segments.
• Proactively identify and qualify new business leads through research, networking, and trade activities.
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with new and existing clients to ensure repeat and referral business.
• Conduct professional and engaging site inspections and show rounds to present the hotel’s facilities and brand.
• Represent The Standard, Brussels at relevant trade shows, missions, and networking events.
• Support client entertainment activities, familiarisation trips, and brand showcases when required.

Contracting & Sales Execution

• Manage incoming group and event enquiries from first contact to signed contract, ensuring all proposals and agreements align with revenue and brand objectives.
• Prepare creative, accurate, and timely group and event contracts, proposals, and offers.
• Negotiate rates and terms within the approved parameters to maximise revenue opportunities.
• Ensure all bookings and client details are correctly input and tracked in systems such as Opera and Envision.
• Collaborate closely with the Revenue and Sales teams to ensure rate integrity and inventory management.

Reporting & Administration

• Maintain accurate client databases and account information.
• Prepare regular reports on lead generation, conversion, and revenue performance.
• Assist with competitor analysis and market intelligence to identify new opportunities.
• Support the Sales Directors in implementing strategies to maximise conversion and optimise performance.

Team Collaboration & Brand Representation

• Work closely with the Events, Reservations, and Operations teams to ensure seamless client handover after contracting.
• Contribute to internal sales meetings by sharing insights and feedback to drive team performance.
• Represent The Standard with professionalism, creativity, and enthusiasm at every opportunity.
• Embody the brand’s culture of individuality, inclusivity, and fun in all client interactions.

Do you have what it takes to be our Sales Executive at The Standard, Brussels?
A minimum of 4+ years as a Events Manager, Sales Manager, etc gained within a similar Lifestyle Hotel or large 4- or 5-star Hotel in Brussels or the Benelux region is essential for this role

In addition to this, the ideal candidate will also…

• Have a solid understanding and detailed knowledge of the Brussels Hotel market along with Sales practices.
• Be a confident and proactive self-starter ideally with strong project management skills.
• Have prior experience of management a team and assisting a Sales Director.
• Be flexible on the hours and ready to be hands on.
• Exceptional attention to detail with strong Administration skills.
• Fluency in English and Dutch is required for this role (french is a plus).
