Restaurant Host/Hostess

Moonfleet Manor Hotel, a distinguished hotel nestled in the heart of Jurassic coast, is currently seeking a motivated and guest focused individual to join our team as a Restaurant Host. As the first point of contact for our guests, the Restaurant Host plays a crucial role in providing exceptional service and creating memorable dining experiences. This a fixed 6-month position, at 40 hours per week (including weekends), with an hourly rate £11.55, plus generous service charge.

Key Responsibilities:

- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables
- Manage restaurant reservations and seating arrangements efficiently
- Manage lounge orders and cleanliness
- Communicate effectively with guests to understand their needs and preferences
- Provide menu recommendations and assist with any inquiries
- Coordinate with the restaurant staff to ensure smooth service flow
- Handle guest inquiries, requests, and concerns promptly and professionally
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the host stand and reception area
- Assist with other duties as needed to support the restaurant team

To succeed in this role we are looking for someone who has:

- Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Positive attitude and willingness to go above and beyond to exceed guest expectations
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
