Contract: Permanent
Salary: £12.10 per hour plus generous service charge

Moonfleet Manor Hotel, nestled along the picturesque Jurassic Coast, is renowned for its elegance and warm hospitality. Our events are a blend of sophistication, creativity, and seamless execution. We seek an enthusiastic Wedding & Events Coordinator to join our team and orchestrate unforgettable experiences.

Role overview:

To oversee the planning of wedding and events for Moonfleet Manor Hotel ensuring all activities are consistently fulfilled to meet the requirements of our guests, business and team, sales are maximised, and upsell takes place as appropriate. You will play a key role in managing the hotel's events to ensure they are executed successfully. This is a part time permanent position, with 25 hours over 5 days, 9.30am – 2.30pm.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure the smooth running of all weddings and hotel events.
• Act as a point of contact for client’s post-contract, ensuring clear communication and understanding of their event needs.
• Collect necessary client details for event planning, including preferences, timelines, and special requests.
• To confirm final event details with the organiser such as menu and wine choices, and final requirements by drafting and sending their function sheet prior to the event date.
• Issue weekly function sheets to the internal teams.
• Work closely with the hotel teams to ensure they are set up according to client specifications.
• Remaining available for the events for any ad-hoc issues that may arise.
• Coordinate and conduct site visits at the hotel and ensure clients are provided with all necessary information regarding their enquiries.
• Post all event billing onto Opera post event and liaise with the accounts department.

To be successful in this role we are looking for someone who has:

• Previous experience in an events role - wedding planning experience is desirable
• Excellent organisational and coordination skills.
• Outstanding communication skills with internal team members and guests.
• Excellent communicator with the team and with guests
• Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Ability to deal calmly with pressure and unexpected situations, be a competent problem solver.
• Flexibility to work the hours as set by the business.
