The Role

We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to play a key role in developing our next generation of imaging products.

This is a hands-on role within a multidisciplinary engineering team where you will contribute from concept through to production — designing robust electro-mechanical solutions and supporting product delivery into global markets.

You will also support process improvements and contribute to continuous development of mechanical design standards.

Key Responsibilities

Design mechanical components and assemblies using SolidWorks
Produce and maintain drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation
Manage 3D libraries for mechanical and PCB integration
Support prototyping, testing, validation, and product release
Collaborate with electronics, production, and quality teams
Troubleshoot production and field-related mechanical issues
Support suppliers and manufacturing partners
Contribute to design reviews and continuous improvement
Support migration and optimisation of CAD systems and processes

Skills & Experience

Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
5+ years’ experience designing electro-mechanical products
Advanced SolidWorks proficiency
Strong knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes
Experience producing engineering documentation and BOMs
Practical, hands-on engineering mindset
Strong communication and project management skills

Desirable

Experience in computer vision / camera systems
Exposure to PCB design collaboration (e.g. Altium)
Experience in regulated industries (medical, defence, aerospace)
Thermal or stress analysis knowledge
Experience taking products from concept to production
MRP / BOM version control experience
