Fowey Hall Hotel, nestled on the picturesque coast of Cornwall, is a luxury family-focused hotel known for its stunning views, exceptional service, and culinary excellence. We pride ourselves on providing an unforgettable experience for our guests, and our culinary team plays a crucial role in achieving this.
We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a strong culinary background, creative flair, and a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes. As Sous Chef, you will work closely with our Head Chef to lead and inspire our kitchen brigade, ensuring that our guests' dining experiences exceed expectations.  This is a full-time position, over 48 hours a week with a salary of £34,000 plus generous service charge and an excellent benefit package.

Key Responsibilites:

- Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop and execute innovative and seasonal menus.
- Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency.
- Lead and motivate the kitchen team, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and performance.
- Assist in managing inventory, controlling costs, and maintaining food safety standards.
- Contribute to the creation of a positive and collaborative working environment.

 

To succeed in this role, we are looking for someone who:

- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a high-end kitchen environment.

- A culinary degree or equivalent professional qualification would be beneficial.

- Strong leadership and communication skills.

- Ability to work under pressure and maintain a positive attitude.

- Excellent organisational and time-management abilities.

- Passion for creating exceptional dining experiences.
