Work with unparalleled views on our 11th floor rooftop bar in central London! Seasonal work - April to October - with opportunities to start earlier and transfer within the hotel’s restaurants and bars after the season.

The Rooftop is an open-air bar and terrace that turns the London skyline into the perfect backdrop for great drinks, food and music. Open to guests and visitors throughout the summer and hired out for private and music events, The Rooftop is the summer stage for striking parties and performances at The Standard.

We are now looking for a dynamic and experienced individual who will capture the energy of this unique venue and join our management team as our Rooftop Supervisor.

Your role

As The Rooftop Supervisor you will help manage the team alongside The Rooftop Manager, ensuring service and events run smoothly and operations are properly managed. Your strong knowledge of food and drinks, passion for service, experience in restaurant and bar operations, order of service and guest experience will combine to create an engaging and inspiring environment that will set the tone for the team and ensure they deliver an exceptional experience for guests.

Finally, you will be a host to our guests, adding a touch of personality and theatre to their experience, and making our guests feel welcome whilst they visit The Standard; so you will need to be highly social, upbeat and friendly; confident and can handle pressure well; thrive in a busy, high energy environment and manage multiple tasks and guests with ease.

Do you have what it takes to be our Rooftop Supervisor

‘Standard People’ are at the heart of our brand; vivid, dynamic, and engaging. Prior experience as a Manager in a similar restaurant or bar is essential for this role. You will also have an uncompromised and natural flair for service and be able to build genuine relationships with guests. You will also need:

  • Prior experience as a Venue Manager, Assistant Manager or Supervisor, ideally gained in a similar high quality restaurant or bar pop-up, or the ‘Lifestyle’ or boutique hotel sector
  • Highly motivated and pro-active; act with professionalism and positivity in all interactions
  • Strong knowledge of and interest in exceptional food, drinks, service, and guest experience
  • Excellent understanding and experience in restaurant operations
  • Strong experience and interest in training teams to deliver exceptional service and maintain consistent standards
  • Display a passionate, fun, and enthusiastic approach to work to inspire and motivate the team, and create an enjoyable, cohesive, and supportive working environment
  • Experience with HR procedures, training & development, and compliance
  • Full-time availability, flexible Monday-Sunday
