Front Office Manager
Contract: Permanent
Salary: $70,000 per year + incentives
The Front Office Manager is responsible for directing and controlling the activities of the Front Desk, Concierge and Guest Services staff.
They will respond to a wide variety of guest requests by accurately assessing the guest needs and requests and then adding personal recommendations and touches to achieve maximum customer satisfaction while complying with all Doyle Collection’s policies.
- Serves as the guest ambassador and key point person to assist guests.
- Comply with any additional requests that may arise pertaining to Front Office duties.
- Will manage shifts at the Front Desk
- Manage the staff at the Front Office (Front Desk, Guest Services and Concierge). Direct activities of the Rooms Division Assistant Managers in conjunction with Director of Housekeeping to ensure communications and follow-up on any problems, guest requests or special requirements.
- Will report directly to Director of Front Office
- Interview, train and schedule staff. Provide better feedback and conduct performance evaluations along. Administer progressive discipline when needed.
- Monitor and assess revenue opportunities for the hotel and maximize red date conversion.
- Ensure strategic business decisions are achieved. Prepare and plan for Rooms Division revenue and expenses. Endeavor to maximize departmental profit and control costs. Contribute to the development of the hotel’s annual marketing plan, capitalize on all areas to increase revenues and improve image.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
- We are looking for an individual who poses solid interpersonal and relationship-building skills to work with cross-functional teams. Apply an ethical approach to influence the outcome of situations and serve as role model for others by demonstrating appropriate business conduct and ethical principles.
- We are looking for candidates who are proactive, have a technical knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
- Ability to read, write and speak English is required.
- This position involves a heavy volume of organizational skill and ability to operate computer equipment and excellent Excel and Computer Skills. Paychex and Opera Systems knowledge would be ideal and greatly valued. This position requires an applicant with a flexible schedule and the ability to work all shifts, weekends and holidays.
- 3-4 years luxury hotel experience in an operational role and managerial experience.
- Work authorization for the location is required.
