Assistant Director of People and Culture

Are you passionate about creating a positive colleague experience and helping people thrive? The Dupont Circle Hotel is looking for an experienced and people-focused Assistant Director of People & Culture to join our team.

Working closely with the Director of People & Culture, you will play a key role in supporting all aspects of the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, engagement, learning and development, employee relations, performance management and wellbeing initiatives. You'll help foster a culture that reflects our values, supports our people and delivers an exceptional employee experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of the People & Culture strategy across the hotel
• Partner with leaders to provide advice and guidance on people matters
• Lead recruitment and onboarding activities
• Support employee engagement, recognition and wellbeing initiatives
• Assist with talent development and succession planning
• Ensure compliance with employment legislation and company policies
• Support employee relations matters with professionalism and discretion
• Analyse people metrics and identify opportunities for improvement

What We Are Looking For

• Previous HR or People & Culture leadership experience, ideally within hospitality
• Strong knowledge of employee relations and employment practices
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach
• Passion for creating exceptional employee experiences
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
