Catering Sales Manager

Contract: Permanent
Salary: $65,000 - $70,000 per year + great benefits

The Dupont Circle Hotel is seeking a Catering Sales Manager to drive local catering revenue and meet ambitious KPIs. In this high-impact role, you will collaborate with the Director of Sales and Marketing and the Director of Group & Catering Sales to implement strategic sales tactics aimed at achieving aggressive revenue targets. You will play a pivotal role in positioning our event spaces within the corporate, social, and wedding markets, establishing the hotel as a premier venue in Washington, DC. This is an ideal opportunity for a driven, results-oriented individual who thrives on exceeding targets, building relationships, and contributing to the hotel’s continued growth in a competitive market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sell, coordinate, and execute corporate meetings, social events, and weddings, overseeing every stage from prospecting to detailing to successful execution.
  • Lead BEO meetings, ensuring event details are confirmed and clearly communicated to banquet managers and the kitchen for seamless execution.
  • Drive new business through active prospecting, client outreach, networking, and strategic partnerships.
  • Establish and maintain ambitious KPIs, consistently driving performance to meet and exceed revenue targets.
  • Ensure impeccable event execution, with flexibility to work weekends as needed.
  • Maintain the highest standards of professionalism, managing contracts, correspondence, and event logistics with precision and timeliness.
  • Attend weekly revenue meetings, offering insights and contributing to catering sales strategy development.
  • Conduct high-level sales presentations, showcasing the hotel’s event spaces and fostering strong, lasting relationships with clients.
  • Track all activities in the Sales Management system to enable informed decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Collaborate closely with leadership, providing regular updates and aligning strategies with the Director of Sales and Marketing and Director of Group & Catering Sales.

This role requires 2-3 years of experience in catering sales, preferably in the luxury market. Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, along with a deep knowledge of the local market, are essential. The ideal candidate is results-driven, detail-oriented, and eager to contribute to the hotel's growth
