Berenjak Mayfair - New Opening

Berenjak Mayfair will be the brand’s flagship new opening located at 80 Duke Street, a moment’s walk from Grosvenor Square in the heart of Mayfair. The design direction is inspired by Grandad’s villa in the North of Iran; a space that feels homey and relaxed but also elegant and mature whilst the service style focuses on genuine, warm hospitality and memorable guest experiences.

Guests can expect a mix of classic Berenjak classic Mazeh, Kababs and Khoresht with the addition of new elevated diverse regional Persian dishes. The beverage offering will draw a new focus to premium drinks options exclusively curated for the Duke Street location including new signature cocktails and an expanded wine selection.

The Position

As the Beverage Manager you will combine your beverage expertise with strong leadership abilities to ensure exceptional guest experience. In this dual role, you will jointly oversee the restaurant’s drinks programme while also supporting the front-of-house team in delivering smooth and efficient service. Share your passion for hospitality through engaging briefings & beverage training on and off the floor.

The successful Beverage Manager will have:

• Prior experience as a Restaurant Manager, Wine or Bar Manager within a premium restaurant or bar;
• Warm and welcoming persona, along with a hands-on approach to work and impeccable attention to detail;
• Proven ability to lead, train and inspire a team;
• Passion for hospitality and a excellent knowledge of food and beverage; WSET preferred
• Eagerness to learn and develop your career within an award-winning restaurant group.
• Experience working in a Mayfair restaurant is preferred.

As Beverage Manager, you will be responsible for:

Beverage Programme Management

• Work closely with the Head of Bars to create and develop the brand’s beverage offering.
• Inspiring, motivating and training our staff on all aspects of the bar at Berenjak.
• Leading on the financial performance of the bar, including GP targets, labour control and sales forecasting.
• Building & leading a highly skilled bar team to deliver outstanding guest experience.

Service Management

• Ensuring the running of a smooth service. This is a floor-focused role and the ideal candidate will be able to oversee and manage a large FOH team.
• Champion quality and consistency - ensure positive communication between the FOH, Bar & Kitchen teams to deliver exceptional product and guest experience.
• Leading on opening and closing procedures, demonstrating high attention to detail whilst setting the standards and leading by example.
