JKS Restaurants was founded by siblings Jyotin, Karam and Sunaina Sethi in November 2008. The group has received critical acclaim and industry recognition since its inception, including 7 Michelin stars, 4 Michelin Bib Gourmands and one restaurant ranked in the World’s 100 Best restaurants.

The JKS portfolio currently includes Michelin Starred restaurants Trishna, Gymkhana, Kitchen Table, Sabor and Lyle’s; as well as cult favourites Hoppers, BAO, Brigadiers, Berenjak, Plaza Khao Gaeng, Speedboat Bar and Bibi. Pubs include The Cadogan Arms and The George.

The Position

Reporting into the Head of Research Development and Centralised Production, the R&D Beverage Assistant will be at the forefront of producing bespoke ingredients and assisting with research and development for the whole group.

The focus will be on producing distillates, cordials, infusions and batches for all JKS Restaurants and Airmail consultancy partners as well as developing and creating new menu offerings, while working closely with the Airmail team, General Managers and Bar Managers of each restaurant to maintain high standards.

The successful R&D Beverage Assistant will have:

• Prior experience in a drinks development role in a top 50 bar or similar;
• Excellent knowledge of the London drinks industry and the workings of a restaurant;
• Highly personable nature, able to confidently build relationships with site managers and employees;
• Experience in research and development;
• Ability to take a proactive and results-oriented approach to your work with the ability to multitask and maintain excellent attention to detail, organisation and time-management skills;
• Operations experience in an established bar;
• An established profile within the London beverage industry.
