The Restaurant

Berenjak, the Iranian restaurant from Kian Samyani and JKS Restaurants, is to launch a new site in Borough Market this spring. It follows Berenjak’s first site, which opened in Soho in 2018 and was awarded a Michelin Bib Gourmand in 2019.

Berenjak Borough takes inspiration from traditional Iranian townhouses found in the rural foothills of the Alborz Mountains which surround the city of Tehran.
A familiar scene occupies the ground floor: an open kitchen, where guests can take a seat at the lively counter and watch all the action, just as they can in the Soho original. Alternatively, they can ascend to the first floor to find a new Berenjak experience: an Iranian ‘dining room’, where convivial group feasts on large tables are the order of the day.

The Successful Floor Manager will have:

Previous experience as a Floor Manager or Assistant Floor Manager ready to take on more responsibility;
Warm and welcoming persona, along with a hands-on approach to work and impeccable attention to detail;
Proven ability to lead, train and inspire a team;
Passion for hospitality and a excellent knowledge of food and beverage;
Eagerness to learn and develop your career within an award-winning restaurant group.
As Floor Manager, you will be responsible for:

Supporting the senior management team in managing day-to-day restaurant operations with warmth and professionalism;
Ensuring the running of a smooth service. This is a hands-on management role and the ideal candidate will be able to oversee and manage a large, dynamic FOH team;
Developing and being able to deliver an engaging training programme;
Demonstrate the ability to run engaging and informative briefings before service, communicating any updates to the menu, new items, specials, and limited stock ;
Champion quality and consistency - ensure positive communication between both the FOH and Kitchen teams to deliver exceptional product and guest experience.
