Salary - up to £35,000 per annum

Schedule - Full Time

Experience - will hold WSET 3 in wine (Diploma desirable).

JKS Restaurants are seeking a Wine Operations Administrator to join their Wine & Beverage team. The successful candidate will hold a WSET 3 in wine.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Wine Operations Administrator looking for a new role in an award-winning, critically acclaimed group.

The Role

The JKS Wine and Beverage team are seeking an administrator to support in the successful running of the beverage program inside JKS. They will assist with maintaining the commercial success and product integrity of our wine offering.

This is a group-wide role across the Indian, Chef-led and Fine Casual restaurants, encompassing both commercial and creative responsibilities. Reporting to the Group Wine Buyer, the ideal candidate will be responsible for both the daily administration of the wine program and wider projects including working on two new openings this summer.

This is a brilliant opportunity to work as part of the Group Beverage team, liaising with Cost Control, Sommelier teams, Bar Managers, Wine suppliers, meeting and tasting with winemakers and Account Managers.

Duties include:

Product:

  • Support wine team in collating supplier tenders and organising samples. Be part of supplier tastings.
  • Support on upcoming openings for all wine requirements.
  • Complete audits of all wine lists. Cross-check pricing across all systems.
  • Track paid & unpaid reserves across sites & suppliers.
  • Build a comprehensive group-wide inventory of wine equipment.

Stock/cost control and commercials:

  • Support commercial analysis of the wine program across the group, pulling and analysing data as part of the existing commercial review and activation calendar.
  • Approve new products, vintage and price changes daily into the groups procurement system, working alongside cost control team.
  • Implement annual supplier and duty price increases across all systems.
  • Support in weekly Fine Wine sourcing, product creation and invoicing. Create a Fine Wine inventory system.
  • Liaise with GMs and Head Sommeliers for collation of data for internal management meetings, monthly board meetings and quarterly business town halls.
  • Analyse and support monthly stocktake reconciliation.

L&D:

  • Administration of WSET courses.
  • Maintain and create wine training materials.
  • Deliver on-site staff training where appropriate.
  • Organise wine events, masterclasses, and winemaker visits.

Role Requirements:

  • WSET 3 in Wine is required. Diploma desirable.
  • Exceptional Excel and Office skills.
  • Excellent product knowledge and a passion for wine.
  • A passion for restaurants and a keen knowledge of the London hospitality scene.
  • Great communicator with a passion for talking about wine.
  • Strong English written skills.
  • Commercially driven and comfortable handling financial data.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organisational skills.
  • Experience working for or with wine importers is a plus.
  • Knowledge of beverage products and suppliers is a plus.
  • Quick learner with the ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-moving, multi-layered business.
