Head Housekeeper

Mossview Care Home is a modern residence located in the heart of Lochgelly, Fife, providing high quality Residential and Dementia care for up to 42 residents. The home offers a supportive and welcoming environment where residents receive person centred care and feel truly at home.

Head Housekeeper

• £13.50 per hour
• 38 hours per week, including weekends
• Paid PVG, pension, uniform provided
• Onsite parking
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview
As Head Housekeeper, this role plays a key part in maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and presentation throughout the home. Leading the housekeeping team, the role ensures a safe, comfortable and welcoming environment for residents, visitors and colleagues.

The role involves overseeing daily housekeeping operations, including cleaning schedules, laundry services and general upkeep of all areas within the home. Strong leadership is essential to support, guide and develop the team, ensuring consistent standards are maintained.

Working closely with other departments, the role helps ensure smooth day to day operations, responding to requests, maintaining supplies and monitoring quality across all areas. Attention to detail and organisation are key, contributing to a well run and high quality environment.

What We Are Looking For

• Experience in a housekeeping or domestic role, ideally within a care setting
• Previous experience leading or supervising a team
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• A proactive and hands on approach
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
