Care Assistant

Cedar Lodge Care Home is located in Taunton, Somerset, and provides specialist dementia, palliative, and respite care for up to 39 residents, alongside The Limes, a dedicated mental health community supporting a further 15 individuals. The home offers a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment, with a strong focus on personalised care, dignity, and resident wellbeing.

Care Assistant – Dayshift and Nightshift Vacancies

• £12.21 per hour
• Contracted hours: 34.5 hours or 45 hours per week
• Pension scheme, Paid DBS, Uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full-time contract)
• Shift times: Days 8am – 8:15pm (3 vacancies) / Night 8pm – 8:15am (1 vacancy), including alternate weekends

Role Overview
As a Care Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting residents across Cedar Lodge and The Limes. You will assist people living with dementia, complex mental health needs, and those receiving palliative or respite care. Your focus will be on delivering personalised support, promoting independence, and maintaining dignity in every interaction.

You will help residents with their daily routines, including personal care, mobility, nutrition, and social engagement. By working closely with the care team, you will monitor health and wellbeing, communicate observations to the nurse or clinical deputy manager, and respond promptly to residents’ needs.
