Job Purpose

The Resort Host is a key ambassador of Rockliffe, responsible for creating exceptional first and lasting impressions across the resort's food and beverage venues. As a visible and engaging presence, you will deliver warm, personalised service, anticipate guest needs, and create memorable experiences that reflect the luxury standards and hospitality for which Rockliffe is renowned.

Working closely with teams across the resort, the Resort Host plays an important role in enhancing the guest journey, providing knowledgeable recommendations, supporting special occasions, and ensuring every guest feels welcomed, valued, and well cared for throughout their visit.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver a warm, professional, and personalised welcome to guests across the resort's dining venues
  • Act as a knowledgeable ambassador for the resort, confidently promoting dining experiences, facilities, events, and activities
  • Build genuine relationships with guests, recognising returning visitors and creating memorable experiences
  • Anticipate guest needs and provide thoughtful, proactive service throughout their visit
  • Maintain a visible presence within guest areas, engaging with guests and offering assistance where required
  • Support guest enquiries, reservations, and operational requests, ensuring a seamless experience at every touchpoint
  • Assist with VIP visits, celebrations, and special occasions, ensuring personalised service and attention to detail
  • Provide tailored recommendations based on guest preferences, enhancing enjoyment of the resort and its experiences
  • Work collaboratively with teams across Food & Beverage, Front Office, Spa, Golf, and wider resort operations to deliver exceptional service
  • Handle guest feedback and concerns professionally, resolving issues or escalating where appropriate
  • Ensure guest-facing areas remain welcoming, immaculate, and reflective of the resort's luxury standards
  • Uphold the highest standards of professionalism, presentation, health and safety, confidentiality, and guest care at all times
