Reports To: Night Manager & Front of House Manager

Job Purpose

The Night Porter plays an important role in delivering a seamless overnight guest experience at Rockliffe. As a welcoming and visible presence throughout the resort, you will provide exceptional service to guests, support the smooth running of overnight operations, and help ensure the comfort, safety, and security of the property during the night.

This is a varied and hands-on role that combines guest service, concierge support, and operational responsibilities. Working across the resort, you will assist guests with professionalism and warmth while upholding the high standards of service and hospitality that define the Rockliffe experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver a warm and professional welcome to late-arriving guests, ensuring a positive arrival experience
  • Assist guests with luggage, directions, and general resort information
  • Provide concierge-style support, including local recommendations, transport arrangements, and activity bookings
  • Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests, queries, and room calls throughout the night
  • Anticipate guest needs and provide thoughtful, personalised service at every opportunity
  • Support the coordination of late-night room service and special guest requests
  • Maintain a visible presence across the resort, offering assistance and ensuring guests feel well cared for
  • Conduct regular checks of public areas and key access points to help maintain a safe and secure environment
  • Respond appropriately to incidents, guest concerns, and emergency situations, escalating where required
  • Complete security logs, incident reports, and detailed handovers for day teams
  • Ensure public areas remain clean, organised, and presented to the highest standards
  • Support the completion of overnight administrative tasks to ensure a smooth transition into the morning operation
