We have a vacancy to recruit an enthusiastic person who has experience of working with young people in an administrative role within education. You will be part of our vibrant recruitment team working with school leavers on their progression to Gateshead College. The successful candidate will have a flexible role with an opportunity to work closely with our prospective and current learners. This includes attending careers events, open events and our students engagement activities.

You will support our apprenticeship recruitment vacancies by working with employers to find suitable candidates for their organisations. The successful candidate will take a leading role in the advertising, shortlisting and processing of applications for our award winning Plan BEE programme

The successful candidate should have excellent organisation and administration skills and be able to use ICT in service delivery and be able to identify, organise and deliver activities which engage young people.

It is essential that you hold an NVQ level 3 or equivalent qualification and a level 2 qualification in IT; along with experience of working independently and proactively to develop outstanding service provision.

Demonstrate a flexibility of approach and attitude to the continued challenges of working in a continually competitive and changing environment and having a positive approach to the changing needs of the college business are essential.
