Mossview Care Home is a modern residence located in the heart of Lochgelly, Fife, providing high quality Residential and Dementia care for up to 42 residents. The home offers a supportive and welcoming environment where residents receive person centred care and feel truly at home.

Maintenance Officer

  • £13.50 per hour
  • 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm
  • Paid PVG, pension, uniform provided
  • Onsite parking
  • 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview
As a Maintenance Officer, this role plays an important part in ensuring the home is safe, well maintained and operating efficiently at all times. The role supports the day to day upkeep of the building, equipment and surrounding areas, helping to create a comfortable and secure environment for residents, visitors and colleagues.

The role involves carrying out planned maintenance and reactive repairs across the home, including basic electrical, plumbing and general maintenance tasks. Regular checks of safety systems and equipment are carried out to ensure compliance and minimise risk.

Working independently and alongside the wider team, the role supports ongoing improvements within the home, maintains high standards of health and safety, and ensures all areas remain clean, functional and well presented.

What We Are Looking For

  • Previous experience in a maintenance or facilities role
  • Practical skills across general maintenance, including basic electrical and plumbing
  • Good understanding of health and safety and compliance
  • Ability to manage workload and prioritise tasks effectively
  • A proactive and reliable approach
