Glencorse Care Home is a purpose built care home located in Penicuik, providing Residential, Nursing, Dementia and Respite care for up to 54 residents. With a strong focus on teamwork and high standards of care, the home offers a supportive environment where staff can develop their skills and make a meaningful difference every day.

  • Paid PVG, pension and uniform provided
  • 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview
As Glencorse Care Home continues to grow and new areas of the home open, we are now recruiting the next phase of our care team. This is an exciting opportunity to join our established team and be part of the continued growth and development of the home as we welcome more residents.

As a Care Assistant, you will make a meaningful difference in our residents' lives every day. This role is central to delivering high quality, person centred care that supports dignity, independence and overall wellbeing.

You will support individuals with daily living, including personal care, mobility, nutrition and emotional wellbeing, helping them feel comfortable, respected and valued. By following care plans, maintaining accurate records and recognising changes in condition, you will contribute to safe, responsive and consistent care.

Working as part of a supportive day team, you will help create a warm and positive environment where residents feel safe, comfortable and truly cared for. You will work closely with colleagues to ensure residents' needs are met and that high standards of care are maintained across every shift.

This opportunity is open to both experienced carers and those new to care, with full training, guidance and ongoing development provided to support your journey.
