Social Care Manager – Fixed Term Contract (1 year), Full-Time 1.00 WTE – Fairview, Dublin 3

Are you ready to take the next step in your career? We have an exciting management opportunity in an innovative model of support based in Fairview, Dublin 3.

As a Social Care Manger and the Person in Charge (PIC) for two locations, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards, and maintaining high-quality care. You will coordinate with the regional manager and the two supporting practice lead posts to ensure that all staff are trained and supported to deliver the best possible service. The Social Care Manager will support high quality service delivery through day-to-day management, induction, probation, leadership and coaching.

In this role, you will mentor and lead staff teams, working in partnership with individuals to help them develop purposeful and meaningful visions for their lives. You will guide them to identify and access the necessary steps to articulate these visions in practice. This role requires a Social Care Manager who will drive community integration as a key component of this service model and who will aim to support residents to build their capacity and champion interdependence. You will empower individuals to shape their own lives according to their will and preferences, both in their homes and within their community. This role focuses on promoting personal development and meaningful community involvement, within the context of the quality-of-life model.

The successful candidate will report to the Regional Manager and will work as an integral part of the regional team.



  • Honours Degree in Social Studies/Social Care or equivalent qualification.
  • Have a qualification in management.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and use of internet and email.
  • Hold a valid driver’s licence.
  • You must be eligible for CORU registration.



  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in a Management or Supervisory role in the area of Health or Social Care
  • Experience managing and adhering to budgets, as agreed by the Finance Dept.
  • Manage the rolling rosters and allocate staff as per service needs or requirements.
  • Ability to support and drive change management.
  • Confidence and experience negotiating and liaising with external stakeholders.

Desirable Experience:

  • A knowledge of the HIQA standards
  • Experience of applying the National Standards for Residential Services for Children and Adults with Disabilities, Trust in Care and Adult Safeguarding
  • Experience in a similar role
  • Have knowledge and experience supporting Autistic people and/or those with Intellectual Disabilities

Salary Scale:

Successful Candidates will be paid in line with the HSE revised consolidated (01/12/22) Social Care Manager 1 pay scale point 1: €50,653 - €59,153 per annum based on a 39-hour working week
There are 27 days annual leave with this post.

Terms and Conditions:

Hours of work are 39 hours per week with a high degree of flexibility built in to facilitate service needs. Details will be discussed and agreed with the successful candidate
