People Team Assistant (Apprenticeship)

This role can be the start of something exceptional.

At Rockliffe, we believe careers are built by giving people the opportunity to learn, grow and discover what they’re capable of.
As we enter an exciting new chapter for our resort, we’re looking for an enthusiastic People Team Assistant to join our People Team and begin their own journey with us.

This is an entry-level role, so you don’t need previous HR experience. What we’re looking for is someone with the right attitude; organised, curious, confident with people and excited to learn.

What is exciting is this role also offers an Apprenticeship - for 18 months, you’ll work alongside our People Team while completing a Customer Service Level 2 qualification, combining structured learning with real experience in a busy five-star luxury hospitality environment.

The Opportunity

Our People Team looks after the people who look after our guests.

From helping someone apply for their first role with us to welcoming new starters, organising training, supporting our managers and helping create a great place to work, there’s a huge amount that happens behind the scenes.

You’ll get to be part of it.

Working alongside our HR Manager, People Business Partners and People Development Manager, you’ll learn how a professional People function operates while developing skills that can help you build your future career.

You’ll gradually gain experience in areas including:

• Welcoming and supporting new team members

• Helping organise interviews and communicating with candidates

• Supporting recruitment and onboarding administration

• Responding to everyday questions from our team

• Helping maintain employee records and People systems

• Preparing letters, documents and communications

• Organising diaries, meetings and appointments

• Helping coordinate training courses and development sessions

• Sending invitations and information to colleagues attending training

• Maintaining training and attendance records

• Supporting team engagement, wellbeing and People activities

• Learning how we protect confidential and personal information

• Providing great internal customer service to colleagues across Rockliffe

As your knowledge and confidence grow, so will the responsibilities we give you.

Your Apprenticeship

This isn’t simply a job; it’s an opportunity to earn while you learn.

During the15-month programme, you’ll work towards your Customer Service Level 2 qualification, developing skills you can use throughout your career.

You’ll have structured learning alongside your role, with support from your apprenticeship provider and the Rockliffe People Team.

By the end of the programme, you’ll have gained a recognised qualification alongside valuable experience working within the People function of a five-star luxury resort.

Who Are We Looking For?

Experience isn’t what will make you stand out. Your attitude will.

You might be leaving school or college, looking for your first professional role, or simply ready to start a new career and learn something different.

We’re looking for someone who is:

• Friendly, approachable and enjoys working with people

• Curious and keen to learn

• Organised and good at keeping track of the details

• Comfortable using computers and willing to learn new systems

• Confident communicating with different people

• Reliable and willing to take responsibility

• Happy to ask questions when they don’t know something

• Professional and able to understand the importance of confidentiality

• Positive and willing to get involved

• Excited about developing their skills and building a career

You don’t need to know everything on day one.

That’s what the apprenticeship is for.

What we do ask is that you arrive ready to learn, contribute and make the most of the opportunity.
